PETRA HEIKKILÄ - NÄYTTELY / EXHIBITION

Haiharassa Runebergin mökissä, Interiry:n kesäpuodin ohessa isossa, tunnelmallisessa, hämärässä hirsihuoneessa viehättävät nyt Petra Heikkilän eläinmaalaukset, kissat ja koirat, hiukan ihmisen tapaiset olennot. Maalaukset sopivat hienosti hirsiseinien sävyihin, ja samoin niiden koristeelliset kehykset, Petran tavaramerkki.

Samaa teemaa voi sitten jatkaa Naivistit Iittalassa-kesänäyttelyssä.

In Haihara at Runeberg's cottage, next to Interi's summer shop, in a large, atmospheric, dim log room, Petra Heikkilä's animal paintings, cats and dogs, somewhat human-like creatures, are now charming. The paintings fit perfectly with the tones of the log walls, as do their decorative frames, Petra's trademark. The same theme can then be continued in the Naivisti Iittalassa summer exhibition.

VIELÄ EHTII INTERIN JOULUPUOTIIN / STILL TIME TO VISIT INTERI'S CHRISTMAS SHOP

Vietiin lisää kalentereita 2024 Interin joulupuotiin Runeberginmökissä Haiharassa, olivat loppuneet. Vielä on aikaa vierailla tässä ihanassa jouluhjakaupassa. Linopiirroksistani pari oli myyty, mutta muutama on vielä jäljellä sekä kortteja, pyyhkeitä ja nyt myös kalentereita. Joulukaupasta tuntuu löytyvän melkein mitä vain: koruja, lasia, keramiikkaa, puukauhoja, leluja, teklstiilejä, villasukkia ja taidetta. Ostin melkein uunituoreita sydämenmallisia karjalanpiirakoita, osa ehkä säästyy pakastimessa jouluun asti. Kauppa on auki vielä ensi viikolla poikkeuksellisesti  maanantain ja tiistainkin 18.-19.12.2023 klo 13-18.

We took more calendars 2024 to Interi's Christmas shop in Runeberg's Cottage in Haihara, they were sold out. There is still time to visit this wonderful Christmas gift shop. A couple of my lino drawings had been sold, but there are still a few left, as well as cards, tea towels and now also calendars. It seems like you can find almost anything in the Christmas shop: jewelry, glass, ceramics, wooden spoons, toys, woolen socks and art. I bought heart-shaped Karelian pies almost fresh from the oven, some may be saved in the freezer until Christmas. The store will be open still next week exceptionally on Monday and Tuesday 18-19 December 2023 from 13:00 to 18:00.

HAIHARAN JOULUPUOTI / CHRISTMAS SHOP IN HAIHARA

Tavarat Interi ry:n joulupuotiin on viety: muutama linopiirros, keittiöpyyhkeitä, kortteja ja kalentereita. Kauppa alkaa täyttyä kasitöistä, puukauhoja, lasia, villasukkia ja mitä vielä. Interin joulukauppa aukeaa 23.11.2022. Sunnuntaina 27.11. mäellä on takuulla vilskettä kun alueella järjestetään Kaukajärven Marttojen joulumarkkinat.

My wares to Interi ry's Christmas shop are taken there: a couple of linocuts, tea towels, cards and calendars. The shop is starting to fill handicrafts: wooden spoons, glass, wool socks and what not. Interi's Christmas shop opens at November 23th, 2022. On Sunday 27th there sure is bustle on the hill when there are Kaukajärvi Martat Christmas fair.

RUNEBERGIN MÖKKI AUKI / RUNEBERG´S COTTAGE OPEN

Interin eli Tampereen taideteollisen yhdistyksen kesäpuoti aukeaa tänään 10.5.2022. Runebergin mökki hirsiseinineen on ihan paikka puodille Haiharan taidekeskuksessa. Kaupassa on monenlaista houkuttelevaa taidekäsityötä ja käyttötavaroita, lasia, keramiikkaa, tekstiiliä ja puuta. Vein puotiin kesäksi kortteja, pyyhkeitä ja linopiirroksia kehystämättöminä ja jokusen kehystetynkin. Yhden ison (70 x 40 cm) linopiirros/pastellin tarkoitus on olla seinällä katseenvangitsijana. Kaupan lisäksi mökin perähuoneessa on vaihtuvia näyttelyitä ja läheisissä rakennuksissa, Kartanossa ja Tallissa samoin. Entisessä väentuvassa on tunnelmallinen kahvila. Kesä voisi tulla!

The summer shop by Interi ie. Tampere Arts and Crafts Association is opening today 10th of May 2022. Runeberg´s Cottage with its log walls is a lovely place for the shop at the Haihara Art Centre. There are on sale in the shop many kind of tempting arts and crafts and consumer goods, glass, ceramics, textile and wood. I took there for the summer cards, tea towels and linocuts unframed and a few also framed. The purpose of a large (70 x 40 cm) linocut/pastel is to be some kind of eye-catcher on the wall. In addition to the shop there are changing exhibition in the back room and also in separate buildings Kartano and Talli. And there is also an atmospheric cafe. Summer is wellcome!

INTERIN KESÄKAUPPA AUKI / INTERI´S SUMMER SHOP OPEN

Kesä on tullut! Interi ry:n kesäkauppa Runebergin mökissä Haiharassa on avattu. Tämä on ensimmäinen kesän näyttelyistä, joissa töitäni on mukana. Runebergin mökissä on valikoima kortteja, keittiöpyyhkeitä ja muutama linopiirros. Mukana on parikymmentä kädentaitajaa: puuta, lasia, keramiikkaa, tekstiilejä ja perähuoneessa vaihtuvia taidenäyttelyitä. Koronatilanne näyttää helpottavan, joten kesästä on tulossa hieno!

Summer is here! Interi´s summer shop at the Runeberg´s Cottage in Haihara is open. This is the first of summer exhibitions that my works are on sale.In Runeberg´s Cottage there are a collection of my cards, tea towels and a couple of linocuts. There are exhibited handicrafts from about twenty members of Interi: wood, glass, ceramics, textile and in the back room various art exhibitions. The pandemic situation is getting better, so it will be a fine summer!

INTERIN JOULUPUOTI / INTERI`S CHRISTMAS SHOP

Interin joulupuoti vuodelta 2020 on nyt suljettu ja ryhdytään joulunviettoon. Runebergin mökki tyhjenee ja jää odottamaan ensi kesää. Jotenkin oli haikea tunnelma kun haettiin pois myymättömät linopiirrokset, kortit, pyyhkeet ja kalenterit. Myyntiäkin oli ilokseni ollut, kiitokset siitä kaikille ostajille! Melkein ihmeeltähän tuntuu, että mitään vuoden 2020 näyttelyitäkään ei jouduttu kokonaan peruuttamaan. Joustettu on, avajaisista luovuttu ja yksityiskäyntejä lisätty. Toivon todella, että ensi kesänä tämä koronapandemia on jo voitettu kun rokotukset alkavat vuoden 2021 alussa. Rauhallista Joulua!

Interi´s Christmas shop is now closed and we all are starting to celebrate the Christmas. Runeberg´s Cottage will be empty and wait for the next summer. It was a bit wistful feeling when we took home unsold linocuts, tea towels, cards and calendars. Still, there had been some selling to my joy, thanks to all the buyers! It feels like a small miracle, that not one of exhibitions in 2020 had to be cancelled. There sure has been some bending, there were no openings and private visits to exhibitions have increased. I really wish, that next year this pandemic is already won when the vaccinations start at the beginning of 2021. Have a Peaceful Christmas!

RUNEBERGIN MÖKKI / RUNEBERG´S COTTAGE

Vietiin uusi linopiirros myydyn tilalle Interin kesäpuotiin Runebergin mökissä. Uudet pyyhkeet näyttivät kivoilta vanhan hirsimökin seinällä. Perähuoneessa oli Johanna Vilénin taidenäyttely, ja hänellä tuntuu olevan tekeillä monenlaista: maalauksia, mobiileja ja veistoksia. Pidin erityisesti hänen grafiikastaan, joissa oli kauniita väripintoja, herkkää viivaa ja rohkeutta. Ja miten hienoa oli nähdä oikea fyysinen näyttely koronakaranteenin jälkeen.

We took a new linocut to replace a sold one to Interi`s summer shop at the Runeberg´s Cottage. The new tea towels looked fine on the wall of the old log house. In the back room there was an art exhibition by Johanna Vilén, and she seems to work on many styles: painting, mobiles and sculptures. I liked especially about her graphics with beautiful colour surfaces, subtle lines and boldness. And how nice it was to see a real physical exhibition after coronavirus quarantines.

UUSIA KEITTIÖPYYHKEITÄ / NEW TEA TOWELS

Teetin uusia keittiöpyyhkeitä Naivistit Iittalassa -kesänäyttelyn aulashoppia ja Runebergin mökin kesäpuotia varten. Nämä pyyhkeet ovat mielestäni aika kauniita. Ne on tehty neljästä linopiiros & pastellityöstä ja ne ovat värillisiä. Pyyhkeet on tehnyt kangasalalainen yritys Printscorpio, ja tulos on laadukas, melkein kuin maalaus kankaalle. Työ on tehty Suomessa ja materiaali on 50 % pellavaa ja 50 % puuvillaa.

I ordered new tea towels for the lobby shop at Naïve Artists in Iittala summer exhibition and for the summershop at Runeberg´s Cottage. I think these towels are pretty beautiful. They are made of four of my linocut & pastels and they are colourful. The towels are made by Printscorpio firm from Kangasala, and the end product is high-quality, almost like a painting on canvas. The work was done in Finland and the material is 50 % linen and 50 % cotton.

KESÄN NÄYTTELYT AUKEAVAT / SUMMER EXHIBITION OPENING

Kesän taidenäyttelyt aukeavat kesäkuun alussa koronapandemian rajoituksin, mutta aukeavat kuitenkin. Eipä olisi tätä uskonut maaliskuun lopulla. Näissä näyttelyssä olen mukana, linopiirroksia, kortteja, keittiöpyyhkeitä ja pikatatuointejakin. Ensimmäisenä aukeaa Varkaudessa Väinölän  taidekeskus 1.6.2020. Seuraavana päivänä 2.6. avautuu Interiry:n kesäpuoti Runebergin  mökissa Haiharassa. Naivistit Iittalassa -näyttelyn ovet avataan 4.6. ja sisään pääsee kerralla 30 henkilöä. Nyt jännitetään, miten ihmiset uskaltavat liikkua kesän aikana ja kiinnostaako taide koronan jälkeen. Toivotaan parasta!

Summer´s art exhibitions are opening at the beginning of June with the restrictions of Coronavirus pandemic, but still they are opening. Who could have believed at the end of March. I´m participating in these exhibitions with linocuts, cards, kitchen towels and even instant tattoos. First to open is Väinölä Art Center in Varkaus at 1st of June. The next day 2nd of June will open Interi´s summer shop at the Runeberg´s Cottage in Haihara. Naïve Artists in Iittala summer exhibition will open its doors at 4th of June, and there will be only 30 people inside at a time. It´s exciting to see now how people dare to move during the summer and are they interested in art after corona. Let´s hope the best!
