JOULUPUKIN KONTTIIN / FOR CHRISTMAS PRESENT

Taas on se aika vuodesta kun erilaiset joulupuodit ja -näyttelyt aukeavat. Ensi lauantaina viedään tavaraa Iiittalan Talvi -näyttelyyn, joka aukeaa 23.11.2024. Aulapuotiin tulee korttien, kalentereiden ja linopiirrosten lisäksi myös keittiöpyyhkeitä. Teetin Printscorpio Oy.ssä viittä erilaista pyyhemallia jouluksi. Uusia malleja on kaksi. molemmissa talveen sopiva iso kuu. Toisessa pyyhkeessä kuu nauraa ja toisessa taivas kuun ympärillä on oranssinvärinen. Myös pari loppuumyytyä mallia on nyt saatavilla: Mökkimäki, joka muistuttaa kesän ja kesämökin iloista sekä punainen Pispalan haulitorni mustavalkoisen Pispalan harjun kupeessa. Myös mustavalkoinen pyyhe kolmesta koirasta ja kissasta on mukana tarjonnassa joulupuodeissa.

It's that time of year again when various Christmas shops and exhibitions open. Next Saturday we will take goods to the Iiittala's Winter exhibition, which opens on 23 November 2024. In addition to cards, calendars and linocuts, the lobby shop also includes kitchen towels. I made five different towel designs for Christmas at Printscorpio Oy. There are two new models. In both of them there ism a big moon suitable for winter. In one towel the moon is laughing and in the other the sky around the moon is orange. A couple of sold-out models are also now available: Mökkimäki, which reminds you of the joys of summer and a summer cottage, and the red Pispala shot tower next to the black and white Pispala ridge. A black and white towel with three dogs and a cat is also included in Christmas shops.

PYYHKEITÄ KESÄKSI 2023 / TEA TOWELS FOR THE SUMMER OF 2023

Kesän 2023 näyttelyiden oheen ja kesäkauppoihin on nyt saatavilla linopiirroksistani tehtyjä keittiöpyyhkeitä neljä uutta mallia: vettä ja kaloja Tahmelan rannassa, kaksi kissaa puussa, lintuparvi auringon ympärillä Pispalan harjun yllä ja kissa kuoriutumassa munasta taivas täynnä kissoja. Näissä on nyt aika paljon väriä, motypiataustaa tai pastellitaivasta. Pyyhkeet on valmistettu Suomessa (Printscorpio Oy) ja ne ovat puolipellavaa.

There is now available four new models of tea towels, made from my linocuts: water and fishes at the Tahmela beach, two cats in a tree, a flock of birds around the sun over the ridge of Pispala and a cat hatching from an egg with the sky full of cats. The towels are now quite colourful, monoprint background or pastel sky. The tea towels will be on sale at the summer exhibitions and shops. They are made in Finland (Printscorpio Oy) and are 50 % linen, 50 % cotton.

PISPALAN PIKKUPUOTI AUKI / PISPALA LITTLE SHOP OPENS

Pispalan haulitornin juurella oleva Pispalan pikkupuoti (Haulikatu 4) aukeaa taas kesäksi lauantaina 28.5.2022 ja on avoinna ti -su 11-18.  Paikka on ihana näkymineen Näsijärvelle , ja niin on ihana kaupan pitäjäkin Tiina Hakala ja kissansa Mauno sekä uusi kissanpoikanen. Vein kauppaan linopiirroksistani Tamkopiossa tehtyjä kortteja sekä Printscorpiossa tehtyjä keittiöpyyhkeitä. Nyt alkaa yhtä lukuunottamatta olla kesän näyttelyt omalta osaltani kunnossa eli materiaalit hoidettu myös Iittalaan, Harjavaltaan, Haiharaan, Jyväskylään, Varkauteen ja Kuusankoskelle. Mikä vilkas ja kaunis kesä tästä onkaan tulossa!

Pispala Little Shop (Pispalan pikkupuoti, Haulikatu 4)) at the foot of Pispala shot tower is opening again for the summer at Saturday, April 28, 2022, and it is open from Tuesday till Sunday 11 am - 18 pm. The place is wonderful with its views to Näsijärvi, and so lovely also the shop owner Tiina Hakala and her cat Mauno and the new kitten. I took to the shop cards (by Tamkopio) and tea towels (by Printscorpio) from my linocuts. Now all the summer exhibitions except one start to ready ie. materials are delivered also to Iittala, Harjavalta, Haihara, Jyväskylä, Varkaus and Kuusankoski. What a lively and beautiful summer this will be.

INTERIN KESÄKAUPPA AUKI / INTERI´S SUMMER SHOP OPEN

Kesä on tullut! Interi ry:n kesäkauppa Runebergin mökissä Haiharassa on avattu. Tämä on ensimmäinen kesän näyttelyistä, joissa töitäni on mukana. Runebergin mökissä on valikoima kortteja, keittiöpyyhkeitä ja muutama linopiirros. Mukana on parikymmentä kädentaitajaa: puuta, lasia, keramiikkaa, tekstiilejä ja perähuoneessa vaihtuvia taidenäyttelyitä. Koronatilanne näyttää helpottavan, joten kesästä on tulossa hieno!

Summer is here! Interi´s summer shop at the Runeberg´s Cottage in Haihara is open. This is the first of summer exhibitions that my works are on sale.In Runeberg´s Cottage there are a collection of my cards, tea towels and a couple of linocuts. There are exhibited handicrafts from about twenty members of Interi: wood, glass, ceramics, textile and in the back room various art exhibitions. The pandemic situation is getting better, so it will be a fine summer!

UUSIA PYYHKEITÄ / NEW TEA TOWELS

Kesän näyttelyt lähhestyvät, ja useiden näyttelyiden ohessa myydään myös keittiöpyyhkeitä. Niinpä tilasin uusia pyyhkeitä, neljä eri mallia, kaikki nyt värillisiä lino/pastellitöistä. Pyyhkeet on painettu Prinscorpio-firmassa Akaassa, ja painojälki on hyvää kuten aiemminkin. Materiaali pyyhkeissä on erinomainen, 50 % pellavaa ja 50 % puuvillaa, tehty Suomessa. Pyyhkeen koko on 67 x 45 cm.

Summer exhibitions are getting near, and in several of these exhibition they sell also tea towels. So I ordered new towels, four different models, all of them now coloured printed from my lino/pastels. Towels were printed in Printscorpio firm in Akaa, and the printed result is good like it was earlier, too. The material of these towels is excellent, 50 % linen and 50% cotton, made in Finland. The size of the towel in 67 x 45 cm.

VILLA ARMAS

Villa Armas -gallerian naivistinäyttelystä oli myyty useita töitäni, joten vein täydennystä. Linopiirros & pastelli "Jonakin aamuna ennen sarastusta", pari pientä linoa, pyyhkeitä ja kortteja on nyt lisätty näyttelyyn. Pyyhkeet ovat todella hienosti laitettu esille ison pöydän päälle. Näyttelystä jäi kännykkään muutama kuva, jotka saivat hyvälle tuulelle tässä koronapandemian keskellä. Ensi viikonlopulla taidan viedä vielä lisää töitä näyttelyyn, onhan se auki 13.12. asti.

Several of my works had been sold at the Naïve art exhibition at gallery Villa Armas. So I took there supplements. The linocut & pastel "One Morning Before Dawn", couple small linos, tea towels and cards are now added to the exhibition. The towels are really nicely presented on a large table. A few pictures were in my cell phone, and they made me happy in these coronavirus times. I might take still more works to the exhibition next weekend. The exhibition is open till 13th of December.
