KAVERUKSET - mustavalkoinen / PALS - black and white

Kyllä koira ja kissa voivat olla kaverukset. Tässä linopiirroksessa kissa on käpertynyt nukkumaan koiran viereen. Koira tuntuu melkein suojelevan kissaa ja sen silmät ovat hiukan raollaan. Ensimmäinen versio tästä linopiirroksesta oli liian tumma mustavalkoisena. Lisäsin sitten hiukan kellanruskeaa pastellia ennen vedostusta, jotta saisin hiukan väriä kuvaan. Mutta kuva näytti edelleen liian tummalta. Niinpä kaiversinkin koiran kokonaan vaaleaksi. Tähän pitäisi nyt saada lisää väriä.

A dog and a cat can surely be pals. In this linocut the cat has curled up to sleep beside the dog. The dog almost seems to be guarding the cat, and his eyes are a bit open. The first version of this linocut was too dark as a black and white print. I added then some yellow/brownish pastel before the printing so that I could get some colour to the picture. But the picture looked still too dark. Si I carved the dog white. There should be now some more colour in this picture.
