Monoprinttitaustat näille kahdelle linopiirrokselle ukonkorennoista ovat oikeastaan samat. Tummempi on ensimmäinen vedos ja vaaleampi ns. haamu. Pohjana on sama sinivihreä väri gelli-levyllä ja sen päällä väritetty iso kasvinlehti ja ukonkorennon mallinen sapluuna. Lino on vedostettu viimeisenä ja väritetty käsin. Pidän enemmän tuosta haamusta, vaikka siinä kasvinlehden malli ei olekaan ihan selkeä. Monoprinteissä tulos on joskus melkein yllätys!

Monoprint backgrounds for these two linocuts of dragonflies are really the same. The darker one is the first print and the lighter one is so called ghost print. The base is the sama blue green colour on Gelli plate, and a big plant leaf on top of that and a stencil shaped like a dragonfly upmost. The lino is printed last and coloured by hand. I actually like more that ghost print, even though the shape of plant leaf is not really clearly identified. With monoprints the results are sometimes almost surprises!
