Uusissa linopiirroksissa ukonkorennoista on monoprint-taustat. Vaaleammassa on hopean värinen pohja ja toisessa sininen. Monoprintin väri on levitetty gelli-levylle ja vedostettu sapluunan avulla niin, että ukonkorennon kohta jää ilman väriä. Vahingossa käänsinkin sapluunan väärin pain hopeiselle pohjalle ja kuvaan jäi ukonkorennolle tila peilikuvana. Tein sitten uuden linopiirroksen ukonkorennosta peilikuvana. Jatkossa ei sitten ole niin väliä, miten päin sapluunani laitan. Ukonkorennot on väritetty käsin.

New linoprints of dragonflies have monoprint backgrounds. The lighter one has a silver colour background and the other one is blue. The colour for these monoprints was spread on a Gelli plate and printed with the aid of a stencil so that the place for the dragonfly remains wothout any colour. By accident I flipped the stencil on the silver base, and the place for a dragonfly was a mirror image. I carved then a new dragonfly linocut as a mirror image. In the future it does not matter so much on which side I place the stencil. The dragonflies are hand coloured.
