BERLIINI SUOMIX -NÄYTTELY / EXHIBITION

Pienen työryhmämme Berliini Suomix -sarjakuvanäyttely saatiin Tampereelle. Näyttely on esillä Tampereen yliopiston yläaulassa 11.3 .- 6.4.2019 osana Tampere Kuplii 2019 -sarjakuvatahtumaa. Christian Jütte toimi kuraattorina ja ideoi Berliini-aiheiset tarinat, joista työrymäläiset tekivät omat sarjakuvansa. Oma tarinani kertoi Lilly-kissasta, joka löytyi Berliinin kadulta ja päätyi Christianin perheen kotikissaksi. Tein sarjakuvani linopiirroksina. Muut sarjakuvien tekijät työryhmässä ovat: Pertti Hämäläinen, Timo Kokkila, Emmi NIeminen, Tiitu Takalo ja Tuukka Teponoja. Tämä näyttely on aiemmin ollut esillä Berliinissä kahdessa eri galleriassa ja Helsingin Goethe-instituutissa. Hienoa saada näyttely vielä omaan kotikaupunkiinkin!

We got our small  work group's comics exhibition Berliini Suomix to Tampere. The exhibition is from 11th, March till 6th, April at the University of Tampere (upper floor lobby) as part of the bigger comics event Tampere Kuplii 2019. Christian Jütte was the curator and created Berlin-themed stories, and the work group made their own comics based on these stories. My own story was of the cat Lilly, who was found in the streets of Berlin and ended up as a housecat in Christian's family. I made my comic strip as linocuts. The other comics artists in the work group are:  Pertti Hämäläinen, Timo Kokkila, Emmi NIeminen, Tiitu Takalo and Tuukka Teponoja. This exhibition has earlier been been on display at two galleries in Berlin and at the Goethe Institut in Helsinki. It's nice to have this exhibition now even in our own home town!
