Museon pihalla oli valtava puinen installaatio, Cornelia Parkerin PsychoBarn, joka oli selvästi tehty Hitchcockin Psyko-elokuvan innoittamana.
**************
Oceania is a vast area in the ocean between Australia and America, sparse small island. From the 1700´s on the Europeans have brought back wares from there, sculptures, textiles and jewelry. These were featured at the intriguing exhibition at The Royal Academy of Arts in London. There were so many references to the beginning of modern art from Picasso on. Some of sculptures were quite close to Cubist works and some of textiles could have been stylistically very recent. One part of the exhibition was a huge moving "mural", something I have never seen before - the conquerors made acquaintance with the natives, were bargaining and lashing even their own soldiers.
On the yard of the museum there was Cornelia Parker´s Psycho Barn, a huge wooden installation after Hitchcock´s film Psycho.
