Amerikkalaisen R.P.Thrallin öljymaalaus Minnie kylän laidalta (Minnie from Outskirts of the Village) vuodelta 1876 on aidosti primitiivinen ja naivistinen kuva. Kissa istuu puun alla rannalla hiukan hölmistynyt ilme naamallaan, jossa nenä ja alaleuka ovat  hauskasti mustat. Keltaiset silmät napittavat. Kaulassa kissalla on punainen nahkapanta ja kilikello. Maisema taustalla on kauniin värinen, ehkä auringonlasku, joka tuo mieleen Henri Rousseaun maalaukset.

Oil painting Minnie from Outskirts of the Village by American R.P.Thrall from the year 1876 is truly Primitive or Naïve art. The cat is sitting under a tree on the beach with a bit gloomy look on her face, where there are funny black coloured nose and lower jaw. The yellow eyes are ogling. Around her neck there is a red leather collar and a bell. The landscape on the background has been beautifully coloured, maybe a sundown which reminds me of Henri Rousseau´s paintings.
