Magic Realism: Art in Weimar Germany 1919-33 exhibition at Tate Modern was really beautifully compiled compact presentation. The focal themes of that time were repeated: cabarets, suicides, violence and women. The art works were visually gorgeous, a lot of dark red, expressive imagery, clearly even some foretaste of Cubism. There was one very beautiful Marc Chagall, also George Grosz, but I liked most of Otto Dix´s graphics: a tattooed lady and a lion tamer.
