Sain kuvan linopiirroksestani uudessa kodissaan. Tämä on "Tornien taisto", jossa näkyvät kaikki Tampereen Pispalan tienoilla olevat korkeat rakennukset: Siilinkarin majakka, Pispalan haulitorni, Näsinneulan näkötorni, Pispan koulu ja Pyynikin näkötorni. Ja näkyyhän kuvassa jo purettu hyppyrimäki Hoppakin. Tuo kello työni yläpuolella herättää monenlaisia ajatuksia Pispalan historiasta, kaupunginosan kehittymisestä Tampereen työläisten kaupungista nykyiseksi suojellulle aarteeksi ohi vuosikymmenten purku-uhkien, sotien ja kapinoiden.
Taulun ostajalta sain kaktuksen taimen, joka nyt puhkesi kukkaan, ihana pinkki kukinto!

I received a picture of my linocut in its new home. This is "The Battle of the Towers", which shows all the tall buildings around Pispala in Tampere: Siilinkari Lighthouse, Pispala Shot Tower, Näsinneula Observation Tower, Pispa School and Pyynikki Observation Tower. And you can see even the already demolished ski jump Hoppa in the picture. That clock above my work raises many thoughts about the history of Pispala, the development of the district from a working-class town in Tampere to the current protected treasure, despite decades of demolition threats, wars and rebellions.
I received a cactus seedling from the buyer of the picture, and now it has burst into flower, a lovely pink inflorescence!
