ZIG-ZAG-KISSAT / ZIG-ZAG CATS

 

Tällä kissalla on hauskat zig-zag -raidat turkissaan kun se loikoilee raidallisella tyynyllä tai sohvalla. Kissakuva on linopiirros. Tausta on pastellia. Tein kaksi melkein samanlaista versiota, toisessa on punertavalla taustalla keltaisia pilkkuja, kuin tähtiä. Sille nimeksi tuli Lempi Kauppilan runosta:"Auringon nousun hetkelläen kumarra kuvianne". Tosen kissan nimi on "Ruiskukkien sinessä uskon uniin". Näiden sekatekniikatöiden koko on 11 x 15 cm.

This cat has funny zig-zag stripes on its fur as it lounges on a striped cushion or sofa. The cat image is a linocut. The background is pastel. I made two almost identical versions, one with yellow dots on a reddish background, like stars. It was named after Lempi Kauppila's poem: "At the rising of the sun, I don't bow down to your idols". The other cat's name is "In the blue of the cornflowers I believe in dreams". The size of these mixed media works is 11 x 15 cm.
