SINIPUNERVA PILVI / PURPLISH CLOUD

 

Löysin kaapistani pinon  pieniä linopiirroksia, ja ne näyttivät jotenkin valjuilta. Niinpä ryhdyin lisäämään linopiirroksien taustalle pastellia, lähinnä kai taivasta, ainakin väriä. Tämä pilkullinen kissa sai nimensö Elina Vaaran runosta Aamu: "Sinipunaisen pilven retki käy yli kukkulan". Kuvan koko on 11 x 15 cm.

I found a stack of small linocuts in my closet, and they looked kind of blank. So I started adding pastels to the background of the linocuts, mostly the sky, but at least some color. This spotted cat got its name from Elina Vaara's poem Aamu: "The journey of the purplish cloud goes over the hill". The size of the picture is 11 x 15 cm.
