KOLIBRI / HUMMINGBIRD

 

Kutsun tätä lintua kolibriksi, vaikka enyhtään tiedä, onko juuri tällaista tai tällaisen väristä lintua edes olemassa. Linnulla on punainen pää ja rinnus sekä suuret silmät, joilla näkee sademetsässä. Tausta on monotypia ja lintu sen päälle vedostettu linopiirros. Punaiset sulat on väritetty käsin. Tämä lintu kuuluu sarjaa pieniä linopiirroksia monoprintillä, koko on vain 9 x 9 cm.

I call this bird a hummingbird, even though I have no idea if a bird like this  or that color even exists. The bird has a red head and chest and large eyes that can see in the rainforest. The background is a monotype and the bird is a linocut printed on it. The red feathers are hand-colored. This bird is part of a series of small linocuts on a monoprint, the size is only 9 x 9 cm.
