PYYHKEITÄ IITTALAAN / TEA TOWELS TO IITTALA

Vietiin lisää keittiöpyyhkeitä Naivistit Iittalassa -kesänäyttelyyn 2020. Mukana oli pari uuttakin mallia: Perhosten karkelot ja Lintujen karkelot. Tapasin näyttelyssä yllättäen työtoverin 40 vuoden takaa Vanhan kirjastotalon ajoilta. Tuntui kuin olisin jutellut Marjatta Toivosen kanssa eilen. Näyttelyssä oli paljon katsojia, vilkasta näin koronarajoitusten hellitettyä hieman. Taiteen kokemisen ja näkemisen tarve on ihan selvä ihmisillä, nyt sen moni tiedostaakin paremmin.

We took more tea towels to Naïve Artists in Iittala summer exhibition 2020. In addition there were even two new models: Butterflies Galore and Birds Galore. It was a surprise to meet at the exhibition my work mate from 40 years back from the times in the Old main library. It felt like i was talking with Marjatta Toivonen just yesterday. There were quite a lot people at the exhibition, busy now after some of corona pandemic restrictions have been loosened a bit. It is just clear that people need to see and experience art, now many of us are aware of it more clearly.
