Viidestoista yö / Fifteenth Night

Olen nimennyt viime aikojen pastelli/linopiirrostyöt Juicen kappaleiden mukaan. Tämä on Viidestoista yö. Pinkit pilvet jotenkin enteilevät hidasta heräämistä. Lisäsin taivaalle parven lintuja, joissa uudemmat isotkin linopiirrokset ovat mukana: rastas, tiainen ja kolibri. Tämä on aika iso: 70 x 40 cm ja dramaattinen. Alaosassa on linopiirros Pispalasta, taivas on tehty pehmeillä pastelliliiduilla ja linnut ovat linopiirroksia.

I have named my recent lino & pastel works after Juice´s music. This is Fifteenth Night (Viidestoista yö). Pink clouds somehow are anticipating slow awakening. I added in the sky a flock of birds, and there are also the newest big birds: thrush, tit and hummingbird. This one is quite large: 70 x 40 cm and a bit dramatic. At the bottom there is a linocut of Pispala, the sky was done with soft pastels and the birds are linocuts.

Tein toisinnon  samasta aiheesta, ja tavoite oli tehdä pilvistä pienempiä vaaleanpunaisia haituvia ja linnut ovat pienempiä. Tämäkin työ sai nimensä Juicen lyriikasta: "Kun aamu on, en tiedä missä herään".

I made another version of the same subject, and my aim was to make clouds smaller, light and pink, and the birds are smaller. This work also got the name after Juice´s lyrics:"When It´s Morning, I Don´t Know Where I  Wake Up".
