MAAILMAN ÄÄRIIN / TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH

Tilaustyönä tein parin aiemmalle "Sinä yönä lähtivät jäät" -teokselle. Tämä on myös saanut nimensä Juicen kappaleesta: " Maailman ääriin". Tässä kuvassa kuu on pienempi, taivaanrannalla on oranssi hehku, linnut ovat kaikki pienemmän kokoisia ja lentävät parvessa ylöspäin. Pastellitaivas on vaaleampi ja rauhallisempi, seesteisempi. Alareunan Pispala on linopiirros, samoin kuu ja linnut. Kuvan koko on 70 x 40 cm. Tämän kuvan katselu saa mielen tyytymään, siinä on jotain meditatiivista kuten sen teossakin.

I made a pair to my earlier "That Night the Ice Left" work as a commission. This one has also got its name after Juices music: "To the Ends of the Earth". In this picture the moon is smaller, there is an orange glow on the horizon, the birds are all smaller and flying in a flock upwards. The pastel sky is lighter and calmer, more serene. Pispala scene at the bottom, moon and birds are linocuts. The size of the picture is 70 x 40 cm. Watching this picture makes my mind content, there is something meditativ e here as was also in the making of the picture.
