Englantilaisen Lucy Willisin maalauksessa kuviot ja muodot ovat lähes kuin grafiikkaa: selkeitä ja teräviä. Yleensä Willisin työt ovat vesivärimaalauksia, mutta tämä on jotain muuta. Uskoisin, että kissa on tehty nopeasti musteella ja alla oleva pyyhe värikynällä. Kissan muoto on mainio ympyrä, josta vähitellen erottaa mustan pään ja korvat. Työn nimi on Kissa kerällä raidallisella pyyhkeellä (Cat Curled up on a Striped Towel).

The patterns and shapes in this painting by English Lucy Willis are almost like in graphics: clear and sharp. Usually Willis´s works are watercolour paintings, but this is something else. I would believe that the cat was quickly done with black ink, and the towel beneath with coloured pencils. The shape of the cat is a splendid circle, and you can gradually distinguish the black head and ears. The name of this work is Cat Curled up on a Striped Towel.
