UUSI PERHOSKISSA / NEW BUTTERFLY CAT

Uusi ölyväriversio linoleikkauksesta Kissasta joka uneksi olevansa perhonen olkoon nyt valmis. Viimeisenä tein kissalle kasvot. Tämä tekotapa: ensin pohja akryylimaalilla ja sitten ölyväri päälle, sopi minulle hyvin ja nopeutti hiukan työtä kun öljyvärin kuivumista ei tarvinnut odotella kovin kauan. Ehkä kuivumista nopeuttaa myös käyttämäni vesiliukoiset öljyvärit. Taidanpa tehdä silloin tällöin jatkossakin öljyvärimaalauksia, maalaaminen on hauskaa. Ehkä linoleikkausten aiheita voi käsitellä myös öljyväreillä ja tehdä välillä kirjaviakin versioita kissoista. Kesä on tulossa. Valo ja värit ehkä näkyvät myös töissä. Odotan innolla!

The new oil painting version of my linocut of a Cat Who Thought She Was a Butterfly might be ready now. Lastly I painted cat´s face. This way to work: The first layer with acryl colours and then the oil painting on top of it, suited me fine and it quickened the working a bit when I had not to wait the drying so long. Perhaps also the water mixable oil colours sped up the drying. I think I paint with oil colours also in the future, painting is fun. Maybe I can process the subjects of my linocuts with oil paint and make in between multicoloured cats. Summer is coming. Maybe the light and colours appear in my work, too. I look forward in eager!
