AAVELAIVA / GHOST SHIP

Tämä kesä on ollut Suomessa historiallisen kuuma. Suurimmaksi osaksi aika onkin kulunut jäähdytellen järven rannassa. Ohi kulkee laivareitti Tampereelta Hämeenlinnaan pitkin Pyhäjärven kapeikkoja. Rannan kaislojen heiluessa tuulessa laivasta näkyy vain häivähdys, kuin aavelaivasta. Japanilaiset turistit vilkuttavat kannelta ja laivan mentyä siitä muistuttavat vain rantakiviin tyrskyävät aallot. Tämä linoleikkaus on vedostettu tumman turkoosilla värillä, vain alareunan jing jang-logo on musta.

This summer in Finland has been historically hot. So, most of the time has been spent chilling on the shore of a lake. The shipping route passes from Tampere to Hämeenlinna along the narrow straits of Pyhäjärvi. When the willows on the shore are swinging in the wind you can see only glimpses of the ship, like of a ghost ship. Japanese tourists wave from the deck, and when the ship has gone by only the surfing of the waves on the stones of the shore remind you of the ship. This linocut was pulled with dark turquoise colour, except the jing jang logo on the bottom is black.
