This sweet card is a Victorian chocolate box image. Boxes of chocolates were sold with attractive pictures, still life and romance. Often the pictures show a child/children resembling an angel, a cat/cats, a dog/dogs and toys. This card image is typical of its kind. An affectionate girl with curly hair shows the kitten and the dog perhaps her new wooden horse. Judging by the look, the dog would like to be somewhere else. The name of the picture is "Making Friends", there is no mention of the artists, as is often the case with chocolate box art.
