TUULI KÄY KIINNI VESIIN / WIND TOUCHES THE WATERS

 

Tähän sekatekniikkatyöhön tulikin aika iso määräpieniä linopiirroslintuja. Oikeastaan kaksi lintuparvea lentää toisiaan vastaan. Tikka sai punaisen vatsan ja pään. Alaosassa on linopiirros kahdesta kissasta hännät solmussa, takanaan rivi Pispalan taloja. Oranssi linokuu sai pastellitaivaalle keltaisen hunnun. Melkein kjuulen lintujen äänet Pispalan harjun yllä. Kuva kuuluu isompaan sarjaani linopastelleja, 70 x 40 cm. Nimi työlle tuli Juicen kappaleesta Talo lehmusten varjossa: "Tuuli käy kiinni vesiin, ajatukset palaa kesiin".

In this mixed media work it  turned out to be quite a large number of small linocut birds. Actually, two flocks of birds are flying against each other. The woodpecker got a red belly and head. In the lower part, there is a linocut of two cats with their tails knotted, behind them is a row of Pispala houses. The orange lino moon got a yellow veil over the pastel sky. I can almost hear the sounds of the birds over the Pispala ridge. The picture belongs to my larger series of lino pastels, 70 x 40 cm. The name of the work came from Juice's song House in the shade of lindens: "The Wind Touches the Waters, the Thoughts Return To the Summer".
