Iittalan naivistinen kesänäyttely päättyi sunnuntaina 27.8.2023, ja näyttelyssä riitti vilinää ihan viime minuuteille asti ja sen jälkeenkin kun kiireisimmät näyttelystä töitä ostaneet alkoivat hakea ostoksiaan pois. Töitä oli myyty melkein 500 ja kävijöitä kesän aikan oli yli 21.000. Menestys siis! Ja näyttely sai paljon kehuja kävijöiltä. Iso kiitos kuuluu kuraattori Veikko Halmetojalle ja käyttännön sujumisesta vastanneille Ulla Heinoselle ja muille aulashopissa ja opastuksessa häärineille. Me tyytyväiset taiteilijat lopettelimme kesää paikallisessa ravintolassa illallsella, ja hyvässä seurassa. Petra Heikkilän kanssa matkasimme takaisin kotiin Tampereelle mukana Petran vähäiset myymättömät työt. Itse haen omat myymättömät työni myöhemmin kunhan kaikki kortit, pyyhkeet ja aulashopin tavarat on inventoitu. Suvi Vasaman veistos Muutos kuvastaa jotenkin tätä hetkeä, vuodenaika vaihtuu,kesänäyttely päättyy, uudet kujeet mielessä.

Iittala's naive summer exhibition ended on Sunday, August 27, 2023, and there was enough buzz in the exhibition until the very last minutes and even after the closing time the busiest people who bought works from the exhibition started to pick up their purchases. Almost 500 works had been sold and there were more than 21,000 visitors during the summer. Success! And the exhibition received a lot of praise from visitors. A big thank you goes to the curator Veikko Halmetojja and to Ulla Heinonen, who was responsible for the smooth operation of the service, and to the other ones working in the lobby shop and guidance. We satisfied artists ended the summer at a local restaurant with dinner, and in good company. Petra Heikkilä and I traveled back home to Tampere with Petra's few unsold works. I myself will apply for my unsold works later, once all the cards, towels and lobby shop items have been inventoried. Suvi Vasama's sculpture Change somehow reflects this moment, the season changes, the summer exhibition ends, with new trends in mind.
