10.7.2023 vietettiin jälleen Suomen kuvataiteen päivää Iittalassa vanhan puukoulun pihassa Naivistit Iittalasa -näyttelyn ohessa. Tätä päivää juhlitaan ympäri Suomea Helene Schjärfbeckin syntymäpäivänä. Olimme Esa Leppäsen kanssa kanssa samassa katoksessa ja muita naivisteja oli ympäri pihaa teltoissa tai kuuman auringonkin alla. Esittelin linopiirrosten teon tekniikkaa ja tarvikkeita, ja kiinnostuneita riitti hyvin, samoin korttien, keittiöpyyhkeiden, pikatatuointien ja linojen ostajia, vaikka juhla olikin maanantaina. Silti Iittalan lasimäellä porukkaa riittää. Esa jopa kaiversi oman pienen ensimmäisen linopiirrroksensa, Wagner-possun. Lupasin siitä vedostaa muutaman kortin. Jopa ystäväni Epe Helenius ehti poiketa ständillä.

The Day of Arts in Finland was celebrated again at July 10, 2023 on the yard of an old school building beside the Naïve Artists in Iittala exhibition. This day is a celebration around the whole of Finland on the birthday of Helene Schjerfbeck. I was together with Esa Leppänen in the same lean-to, and other naïve artists were around the yard in tents or even under the hot sun. I demonstrated the technique and materials of linocutting, and there were quite enough of interested people, as there were buyers of cards, tea towels, linos and instant tattoos even though this festival was on Monday. Still, a lot of people on the Glass Hill. Esa even carved his own first small linocut, Wagner the pig. I promised to print a few of card of it. Even my friend Epe Helenius had some time to pop at my stand.
