Naïve Artists in iittala summer exhibition "Life Ahead" opens on Monday, May 15/2023. Iittala is easily reachable even by train via the Naïve train shelter. There is a mural by Kikka Nyrén in the underpass tunnel, on the wall of a bowling alley there are wooden reliefs by Lauri Lahtinen, Pirkko Pullinen-Valtonen´s paintings are on the flower pots. in the middle of the yard is Eino Viikilä´s scuplture of a dancing bear, which got a green bolero yesterday honoring Finland´s Euro Vision singer Käärijä. The punched metal walls have been made from two of my linocuts, Accordionist´s Day Off and Cats in the Window. Now I spotted , that inside the train shelter almost at the ceiling there have appeared three qr codes, and by clicking or reading them for example with your mobile´s camera, you can get presentations of the train shelter in English and in Finnish (the link is also in the text by or under the qr code).. On one them I´m telling in English about surprises in making of the metal walls. On one video Karoliina Härkälä is telling about the birth of the train shelter in Finnish, and in one video there are in English experiences and feelings about using the train shelter.
Maija Kanerva kertoo englanniksi taideaseman metalliseinien synnystä.
