TAIVAS JA PRONSSIKUU / SKY AND BRONZE MOON

 

Pastellitaivas alkaa saada väriä tässä lino- ja pastellipiirrosta yhdistävässä työssä. Alaosan Pispala-talot portaineen ja pronssinvärinen kuu ovat linopiirroksia. Linopiirrokset linnuista lisään kun taivas on valmis, ja niitä varten olen jättänyt sapluunojen avulla paikat pastellitaivaalle. Taivaanranta on keltainen ja pronssin väriä on myös pilvissä, mutta ylhäällä taivas on vielä sininen.

The pstel sky starts to get its colour in this work where I combine linocuts and pastel drawing. The Pispala houses with their steps and the moon are linocuts. I add linocuts of birds when the sky is ready, and I have left places for them in the sky with the aid of stencils. The horizon is yellowish and there also bronze colour in the clouds, but the upper part of the sky is still blue.
