CHRISTIAN JÜTTE -NÄYTTELY / EXHIBITION

Parin minuutin ajomatkan päässä Naivistit Iiittalassa -näyttelystä on hurmaava Pappilan Sunday Shop. Kauniissa puutarhamaisessa pihapiirissä tepastelee kanoja ja kukko, siellä voi kierrellä veistospuistoa ja ihailla puihin ripustettuja taideteoksia. Minna Arohonka pitää tätä puotia, kurssipaikkaa, kahvilaa ja näyttelytilaa kotipihassaan. Sunday Shopin toinen huone on nyt omistettu kokonaan Christian Jütten pienoisveistoksille, joista osa on jo aika isoja, jopa pyöriviä. Jütten aiheena ovat nyt kuuluisat suomalaiset, lähinnä Aino ja Alvar Aalto. Mutta on siellä mukana Suomen presidentti ja häivähdys van Goghia. Veistoksiin liittyy aina joku tarina. Niinistö on väsynyt uuden vauvansa ruokintaan. Alvar Aalto seikkailee Alaskassa, jossa hän sai idean kuuluisaan Savoy-maljakkoonsa eskimonaisen jäykkien nahkahousujen laskoksista ja poimuista.

It´s only a couple minute´s drive from Naïve Artists in Iittala exhibition  to Pappilan Sunday Shop. There you can see hens and a rooster prancing in this beautiful garden-like yard, you can circle around sculpture park and admire art which is hanging from the trees. Minna Arohonka is hosting this shop, venue for courses, cafe and exhibition area on her home yard. The second room of the Sunday Shop is now dedicated to Christian Jütte´s small sculptures, except some of them are quite big and even revolving. Jütte´s subject are famous Finns, mainly Aino and Alvar Aalto. But there is also the president of Finland and a bit of van Gogh. There is always a story connected to the sculptures. Niinistö is tired of feeding his newborn baby. Alvar Aalto is travelling in Alaska where he got the idea for his famous glass Savoy vase from the Eskimo woman´s stiff leather trousers and their pleats and folds.
