SUDENKORENNOT / DRAGONFLIES

Tein muutaman monoprintti-taustan kahdelle erilaiselle linopiirrokselle sudenkorennosta. Käytin kuvioiden tekoon mm. palasta pitsiä ja tien vierestä löytyneitä kuivuneita koiranputkia. Nämä sudenkorennot ovat hiukan isompia kuin aiemmin vaastaavalla tekniikalla tekemäni harakat, 17 x 17 cm. Ennen sudenkorento-linojen vedostusta levitin vielä värillistä mustetta siipien kohdalle. Pidän enemmän vaaleammista pohjista, ja monet epätasaisuudet ja "virheet" oikeastaan viehättävät.

I made a couple of monoprint backgrounds for two different dragonfly linocuts. I used for the patterns a piece of lace and some dried parts of plants I found by the road. These dragonflies are a bit larger than the magpies I made earlier with the same technique, 17 x 17 cm. Before printing the dragonfly linos I spread some coloured ink in the places of the wings. I like more the paler backgrounds, and several irregularities and "mistakes" are just appealing.
