SHERLOCK HOLMES PEILISSÄ / SHERLOCK HOLMES IN THE MIRROR

Uusi versio linopiirroksesta, jossa kissa katsoo peiliin, putkahti ilmoille. Näitä on jo varmaan kymmenen erilaista. Tässä kuvassa kissaa katsoo peilistä Sherlock Holmes, lippalakki päässä ja suurennuslasi kädessä. Kissan silmä suurenee mahtavaksi ja se on käsin väritetty.

A new version of my linocut of a cat seeing himself in the mirror just popped out. These must be already ten different one. In this picture Sherlock Holmes is watching at the cat from the mirror, with a cap on his head and holding a magnifying glass. The eye of the cat is enlarging to a huge one, and it is coloured by hand.

SAAPASJALKAKISSA - PUSS IN BOOTS

Ensimmäinen linopiirroksista kissasta peilissä on Saapasjalkakissa. Väritin kissan saappaat punaisiksi käsin. Mitähän muita kissoja voisi heijastua peilissä? Tämä taitaa olla yksi päättymättömistä projekteista. Kuva on hiukan isompi  (20 x 15,5 cm) kuin aloittamassani sarjassa linopiirroksia pienistä kissoista - toinen päättymätön aihe.

The first linocut of a cat in the mirror is Puss in Boots. The boots of the cat are hand-coloured red. What evercats could there be in the mirror? This might be one of my never-ending projects. The picture is a bit larger (20 x 15,5 cm) than in the series of small linocut cats I started a while ago - another never-ending subject.

KISSA PEILISSÄ / CAT IN THE MIRROR

Pienten linokissojen sarjaan putkahti nyt hiukan isompi linopiirros kissasta peilaamassa itseään. Peili on iso, lattialla seisovaa vanhaamallia. Kissa on turhamainen otus. Mitä kaikkea peilissä vaisi näkyä? Nyt vedostettuna odottaa pino tyhjiä peilejä. Linopiirroksessa peilin kohdalla on reikä.

Now, there popped a little bit bigger linocut of a cat in front of a mirror to my series of small lino cats. The mirror is old-fashioned on the floor standing model. The cat is a smug creature. What ever would there be seen on the mirror?Now there is waiting a stack of empty mirrors. In the linocuts there is a hole in the place of the mirror.
