LENTÄVÄT KISSAT / FLYING CATS

 

Hurjan helteen kourissa on todella mukava ulkona väritellä pehmeillä pastelleilla kaapista löytyneitä vedoksia lentävistä perhoskissoista. Nyt näitä kuvia syntyi viisi, 20 x 20 cm kokoisina. Kissojen taustoina on helteeseen sopivia hiekkaerämaita, Saharaa, kukkapeltoja tai vihreitä viljapeltoja. Kameleita ja traktorikin putkahtivat kuviin.

In the scorching heat, it's really nice to color in soft pastels on the prints of flying butterfly cats found in the closet. Now five of these pictures were created, 20 x 20 cm in size. The backgrounds of the cats are sandy deserts, the Sahara, flower fields or green fields of hay, which are suitable for the heat. Camels and a tractor also appeared in the pictures.

FAARAON KISSA / PHARAO'S CAT

 

Viides ja tällä erää viimeinen lentävä kissa on faaraon kissa., joka soittelee viuluaan hiekkaerämaan yllä. Alapuolella kulkee kaksi kamelia ja vain varjot heijastuvat hiekalle. Kissa on linopiirros, jonka siivet on väritetty. Taustan tein pehmeillä pastelleilla, ja kamelit pastellivärikynällä. Kuvan nimi on "Faaraon kissa lensi näin. Faaraon kissa, sen varmasti näin."

The fifth and at least for now last flying cat is the Pharaoh's cat, playing its violin over the sandy desert. Below, two camels are walking and only shadows are reflected on the sand. The cat is a linocut with colored wings. I made the background with soft pastels, and the camels with a pastel colored pencil. The title of the picture is "The Pharaoh's Cat Flew Like This. The Pharaoh's Cat, I Definitely Saw It."

MINUT LÖYSIT PÄÄLTÄ MEREN TUULISEN / YOU FOUND ME ON TOP OF THE WINDY SEA

 

Neljäs 20 x 20 cm kokoinen sekatekniikkatyö sai nimensä Juice Leskisen kappaleesta Tanssimaa: "Minut löysit päältä meren tuulisen". Perhoskissa käsin väritettyine siipineen on linopiirros. Taustalla on vettä, rantaa, auringonpalvojia, jotka tein pehmeillä pastelleilla. Näitä hassuja perspektiivikuvia lentävistä kissoista oli niin kiva tehdä, että varmaan niitä syntyy lisääkin.

The fourth 20 x 20 cm mixed media work got its name from Juice Leskinen's song Tanssimaa: "You found me on top of the windy sea". The butterfly with hand-colored wings is a linocut. In the background there is water, beach, sun worshippers, which I made with soft pastels. It was so much fun making these funny perspective pictures of flying cats, that I'm sure there will be more of them.

KORKEAMMALLE / STILL HIGHER

 

Kolmas pieni sekatekniikkatyö lentävistä perhoskissoista kuvaa kissaa vihteiden kesäisten peltojen yllä, pilvet horisontissa. Kissa väritettyine siipineen on linopiirros, jonka siivet on käsin väritetty. Tausta on pehmeää pastellia. Kuvan koko on 20 x 20 cm, ja se sai nimensä Edu Kettusen kappaleesta Lentäjän poika: "Vielä lentäisin korkeammalle kuin muut".

The third small mixed media work about flying butterfly cats depicts a cat above sunny summer fields, clouds on the horizon. A cat with colored wings is a linocut with hand-colored wings. The background is a soft pastel. The size of the picture is 20 x 20 cm, and it got its name from Edu Kettusen's song Pilot's son: "I would still fly higher than others".

LÄHDETÄÄN LENNOLLE / LET'S TAKE A FLIGHT

 

Perhoskissa lentää korkealla hiekkarannan yllä. Rannalla näkyy päivänvarjoja, uimapatjoja ja ihmisiä maalla ja vesillä. Kesä on kuuma. Perhoskissa on linopiirros, siivet käsin väritetty ja tausta pastellia. Kuvan koko on 20 x 20 cm. Nimi tälle vauhdikkaalle kuvalle saatiin PMMP:n kappaleesta Rusketusraidat: "Heitetään pois kaikki housut ja paidat, lähdetään lennolle".

A butterfly cat flies high above the sandy beach. On the beach, you can see umbrellas, swimming mattresses and people on land and in the water. Summer is hot. The butterfly is a linocut, the wings are hand-colored and the background is pastel. The size of the picture is 20 x 20 cm. The name for this speedy picture came from the PMMP song Rusketusraidat: "Let's throw away all our pants and shirts, let's take a flight".

HÄN VIULULLAAN VETELEE VAAN / HE JUST PLAYS WITH THE VIOLIN

 

Jos tekee linopiirroksen perhoskissasta, niin pitäähän sen myös lentää. Viulua soittava kissa käsin väritettyine siipineeen lentelee peltojen yllä. Pellolla ruohoa syövät valkoiset lampaat. Tausta on pastellia. Tämä 20 x 20 cm kokoinen iloinen työ sai nimensä Pihasoittajat-yhtyeen kappaleesta Viulu-ukko : "Hän viulullaan vetelee vaan, nousee jengi tunnelmaan".
