KEHYSTETTYINÄ / FRAMED

 

Linopiirros "Vihainen kissa" tai "PRKL" taustallaan reggae-värinen taivas ja pieni linopiirros pilvestä ja salamasta sekä oranssista kuusta on nyt kehyksessä. Samoin "Herkules nostaa maapalloa" sai vaaleat puukehykset, jotka löytyivät kaapista. Kehykset ovat A4-kokoiset.

 The linocut "Angry Cat" or "PRKL" with a reggae colored sky in the background and a small linocut of a cloud and lightning & an orange moon is now in the frame. Similarly, "Hercules Lifts the Globe" received light wooden frames found in the closet. The frames are A4 size.

HERKULES JA REGGAE / HERCULES & REGGAE

 

Tein kahdelle linopiirrokselle pastellitaustat. Toiseen värit tulivat sellaisina, että mieleen tulee reggae-musiikki ja ne isot virkatut hatut, joita muusikot pitivät kun näin reggae-yhtyeitä joskus Lontoossa. Toisessa linipiirroksessa Herkules nostaa vahvoilla käsivarsillaan maapalloa. joka on väritetty. Aion löytää näille vanhat kehykset komerostani.

I made pastel backgrounds for two linocus. In the first, the colors came in such a way that it reminds me of reggae music and the big crocheted hats that the musicians wore when I saw reggae bands in London. In the second linocut, Hercules lifts the globe with his strong arms. The Globe is coloured by hand.. I'm going to find for these some old frames in my closet.

HERKULES JALKAPALLOILEE / HERCULES PLAYS FOOTBALL

Nyt Herkules-kissa innostui nostelemaan Premier-liigan jalkapalloa ja Arsenalin logoa. Syynä on ehkä pienen ryhmämme vedonlyönti Fantasy Premier League -verkkosivustolla. Arsenal-logoa nostavasta kissasta on useita eri värisiä muunnoksia, joista musta/punainen lähti hyvän ystäväni ja Arsenalin kannattajan seinälle.

Now Hercules the cat got inspired and lifted Premier League football and Arsenal logo. Maybe the reason for this is our small group's betting on Fantasy Premier League internet page. There are several different coloured variations of the cat lifting up the Arsenal logo, blank and red one of them went on the wall of a good friend and Arsenal supporter. 

HERKULES NOSTAA KUUTA / HERCULES LIFTING UP THE MOON

Vielä putkahti ainakin yksi Herkules-versio: nyt Hercules nostaa punaista kuuta. Ja kuun päällä lisäpainoa antavat seisova ja makaava kissa. Tämä on kolmen erillisen linopiirroksen yhdistelmä: Herkules, kissa kuun päällä ja oranssinpunaisella vedostettu kuu. Mitähän Herkules nostaa seuraavaksi?

Still there is at least one version of Hercules: now Hercules is lifting the red moon. Ans on top of the moon there are a standing or laying cat giving some extra weight. This is a combination of three different linocuts:Hercules, a cat on top of the moon and a moon pulled with orange-red colour. What ever might Hercules be lifting next?

HERKULES NOSTAA MAAPALLOA / HERCULES LIFTING UP THE GLOBE

Tein vielä linopiirroksen pienestä kissasta, joka voisi olla Herkuleksen nostamien esineiden päällä. Kokeilun kissaa kolmen linopiirroksen yhdistelmässä: Herkules, maapallo ja kissa.Väritin maapallon mantereet vihreiksi tai eri värisiksi ja vedostin maapallon sinisellä värillä. Silti aiempi seisova kissa maapallon päällä tuntuu paremmalta.

I made still one small linocut of a cat, who could be on top of the objects, which Hercules is lifting up. I tried the cat in a combination of three linocuts: Hercules, the globe and the cat. I coloured the continents green or different coloured before printing the globe with blue colour. Still, the earlier standing cat on the globe feels better.

LISÄÄ HERKULEKSIA / MORE HERCULES

Tein toisen linopiirroksen Herkules-kissasta, joka nostaa joulupalloa - nyt näitä vahvoja Herkuleksia on kaksi erilaista. Lisäksi tein pienen kissan, joka voisi seisoa Herkuleksen nostaman pallon päällä - hiukan lisäpainoa maailman vahvimmalle kissalle!

I made an another linocut of Hercules the cat, which is lifting up a Christmas ball - now there are two different versions. In addition I made a small cat, which could stand on the ball that Hercules is lifting up - a little bit more weight to the strongest cat of the world!

Herkules nostaa joulupalloa / Hercules Lifting Up a Christmas Ball

Toinen tämän vuoden uusi  joulukortti on linopiirros Herkuleksesta, joka nostaa joulupalloa, taitettu A6-kokoinen kortti. Kuva on oikeastaan kaksi erillistä linopiirrosta: mustalla värillä vedostettu Herkules ja punaisella vedostettu joulupallo. Tämä kortti on herättänyt hiukan hilpeyttä ja jopa monistusfirma, jossa kortit monistin mainosti facebook-sivuillaan palveluaan tällä kortilla. On muuten erinomainen korttien painopaikka tämä Tamkopio!

Another of new Christmas cards for this year is a linocut of Hercules lifting up a Christamas ball, folded A6 sized card. Actually this is two separate linocuts: Hercules printed with black colour and Christmas ball printed red. This card has raised a few laughs, and the copying firm where I ordered these card advertised on its Facebook pages its services with this card. And this printing firm Tamkopio  is a really nice place for printing cards!

Jouluaihe nostaa osittain päätään jo myös näissä Maija Kanervan (https://linocatlady.blogspot.fi/) meillä teettämissä, kerta toisensa jälkeen ah niin ihastuttavissa korteissa, kuten tässä Herkules nostaa joulupalloa -kortissa. Meillä myös kotitaiteilija teettää joulukortit kätevästi omista piirroksista tai valokuvista - laitapa mietintämyssyyn!
