PÄÄSKYNEN / SWALLOW

 

Viides linopiirroslintu monotypia-pohjalla on pääskynen. Sapluunani, jonka avulla jätin  valkoisen paikan monotypiaa vedostaessa, oli ehkä liian iso. Pääskystä vedostaessa linnun reunoille jäi aika paljon valkoista. Taidan värikynällä tai pastellilla hiukan vielä "kaunistella" kuvaa sumentamalla noita reunoja. Minusta pääskysen pyrstön reunat hauskasti menevät hiukan kuvan ulkopuolelle. Kuvan koko on 15 x 15 cm.

The fifth linocut bird on a monotype base is a swallow. My stencil, which I used to leave a white space when tprinting the monotype, was perhaps too big. When printing the swallow, quite a lot of white remained on the edges of the bird. I think I will use colored pencils or pastels to "beautify" the image a little by blurring those edges. I think the edges of the swallow's tail are funny, they go a little outside the image. The size of the image is 15 x 15 cm.
