Olen tehnyt kuvat , joissa on joko vettä tai taivasta Pispalan harjun ja Tahmelan rannan kynäjalavan lisäksi. Mutta entäs jos tekisin sellaisen kuvan, jossa on sekä taivasta että vettä? Olisiko niin ison kuvan tekeminen mahdollista tai hauskaa? Kokeillaan. No, ainakin paperia on aika hankala käsitellä, sitä pitää hiukan kääntää rullalle, jotta se edes mahtuu työpöydälle. Ja hankin muuten työpöydän jatkeeksi isomman levyn vaneria. Kuvan leveys on 80 cm ja korkeus yli metrin. Siinä sitä haastetta. Mutta aloitan helpolla ja yksinkertaisella osalla - taivaalle tuli oranssi täysikuu.

I have made pictures with either water or sky in addition to the Pispala ridge and the elm on Tahmela beach. But what if I made a picture with both sky and water? And by the way, I got a bigger sheet of plywood to extend the desk. The width of the picture is 80 cm and the height is over a meter. That's the challenge.
