Kesäkuun alussa aukeaa Jyväskylässä galleria Patinassa näyttely "Ateljeen aarteet". Ilomielin menin mukaan tällaiseen näyttelyyn vaikkei se olekaan yksinomaan naivistinen. Idea on erinomainen: näyttelyyn saa toimittaa työhuoneen nurkkiin jääneitä vanhempiakin töitä, luonnoksia tai kehystämättömiä vedoksia. Ja niitä takuulla löytyy ainakin itselläni! Jokunen vanhempi linopiirros kehystettynäkin on jäänyt kaappiin ja kehystettyjen lisäksi on lähdössä aikamoinen pino kehystämättömiä töitä. Tämän idean toisena puolena on tietenkin se, että hinnat olisivat normaalia alhaisempia. Ja sehän onkin vaikea tehtävä, pistää miettimään. Näyttelyn juliste on tosi kaunis.

At the beginning of June will open in Jyväskylä at gallery Patina the exhibition "Studio Treasures". I´m so happy to participate at this kind of exhibition, even though it is not just Naïve art. The idea is superb: you can send to this exhibition also older works, sketches or unframed prints found in the corners of your workroom or studio. And there really are those, at least in my workroom! A few older framed linocuts were found in my cupboards, and in addition to the framed ones there will be quite many unframed prints. The other side of this idea is of course, that the prices would be somewhat lower than normally. And isn´t this a difficult job, makes you wander. The poster of this exhibition is really beautiful.
