Viimeinkin tartuin tähän aikaisemmin tekemääni linoon "Mustarastas laulaa Tahmelan lähteellä". Siinä ei minusta lähde tullut tarpeeksi esiin taustastaan. Nyt tein raaputuspahvista pienen palasen, jossa on lähde ja hiukan taustan lehvistöä. Värjäsin lähteen siniseksi ja taustaa vihreäksi ja vedostin paperille, jolle sitten vedostin mustavalkoisen linon mustarastaineen. Nyt lähde erottuu kuvasta paremmin. Kuvalla on nyt uusi nimi: "Mustarastaan laulupuu" ja se on matkalla Väinölän taidekeskuksen naivistiseen 10-vuotisnäyttelyyn Varkaudessa kesällä. Näyttelyn teemana on "puu". Kuvan kaveriksi on menossa viimeinen kappale linosta "Käpy", ja siinä on käsin väritetty tausta ja kiillettä.

At last I took a job with this linocut "Blackbird Singing Next To the Tahmela Pond". In my mind the fountain didn´t come out enough in the background. Now I made a small piece of scratch board with the pond and a bit of leaves. I coloured the pond blue and leaves green and printed on paper, and on this I printed the black and white lino with a blackbird. Now the pond is standing out better from the background. The picture has now a new name: " Blackbir´s Song Tree" and it is on its way to Naïve Art 10th Anniversary exhibition at Väinölä, Varkaus next summer. The theme in this exhibition is "tree". As a pair for this picture there will be the last copy of the linocut "Cone", and there is hand coloured background and glitter.
