Pirkko Lepistön (1922-2005) naivistisessa maalauksessa pienenpieni taiteilija maalaa isoa taulua. Seinillä on valmiita tauluja ja lattialla keskeneräisiä: maisemia ja kukkia. Ulkona ikkunan takana on paljas syksyinen tai keväinen koivikko. Kaksi kissaakin löytyy kuvasta. Toinen istuu ikkunalaudalla ja toinen katselee epäuskoisena ruokakuppiaan. Nukke nurkassa on melkein yhtä iso kuin maalari. Tunnelma on jotenkin sumuinen, sinertävä ja tuo mieleen Tove Janssonin satumaailman.

A tiny artist is painting a large canvas in this Naïve Art painting by Pirkko Lepistö (1922-2005). There are finished paintings on the walls and some unfinished ones on the floor: landscapes and flowers. Outside behind the window there is a Spring or Autumn birch grove. There are even two cats in the picture. The other one is sitting on the windowsill and the other one is watching unbelievingly at her food bowl. The doll in the corner is almost as big as the painter. The atmosphere is somehow foggy, bluish, and reminds me of Tove Jansson´s fairy tale world.
