Quint Buchholz (s. 1957) on saksalainen kuvittaja, jonka vihreäsilmäinen Nero Corneole-kissansa seikkailee Elke Heidenreichen lastenkirjoissa. Buchholzin tyyli maalarina on hiukan surrealistinen ja pointillistinen. Tässäkin Nero-kissan lähikuvassa näkyvät mustan ja harmaan värityksen pienet täplät hyvin. Vihreät kissan silmien väriä ja muotoa toistavat lehdet kuvan reunoilla antavat sen vaikutelman, että kissa vaanii jossain pusikossa. Viikset ja kulmakarvat ovat valkoisia siveltimenvetoja ja nenä vaaleanapunainen. Mutta onko Nero peloissaan?

Quint Buchholz (b. 1957) is German illustrator. His green-eyed cat Nero Corneole is adventuring in Elke Heidenreich's children's books. Buchholz's style as a painter is more like Surrealism and Pointillism. Even in this close-up of Nero the cat the small dots of gray and black are quite visible. The green leaves replicating the colour and shape of the green eyes of the cat make an impression of the cat prowling behind bushes. The cat's whiskers and eyebrows are white strokes of a paint brush and the nose is pink. But is Nero afraid of something?
