ANSELM KIEFER - NÄYTTELY / EXHIBITION

Saksalaisen Anselm Kieferin (s. 1945) taidenäyttelyssä Lontoon Royal Academy of Artsissa kaikki on suurta. Taulujen ja veistosten koot ovat giganttisia. Värit ovat painavia, tummia, vahvoja tai kimaltelevia, joissakin töissä on jopa timantteja. Myös aiheet ovat raskaita: Isä, Poika ja Pyhähenki kolmine tuoleineen, synkkiä metsiä, valtavia perspektiivejä, väkijoukkoja, Saksen ja natsismin historiaa, syyllisyyttä. Uusimmissa töissä on enemmän väriä, keltaista viljaa ja aika paljon vertauskohtia van Goghin maalaustyyliin. Tämä näyttely sai haukkomaan henkeä!

In German Alselm Kiefer´s (b. 1945) art exhibition in Royal Academy of Arts in London everything is huge. The sizes of all the paintings and sculptures are gigantic. The colours are heavy, dark, strong or glimmering, there are even diamonds in some of the paintings. Even the subjects are heavy: Father, Son and Holy Spirit with their three chairs, bleak forests, enormous perspectives, crowds of people, the history of Nazis and Germany, guilt. In the newer works there is more colour, yellow corn and quite a lot of resemblance to van Gogh´s style of painting. This exhibition really made me to gasp!
