KALAT VEDESSÄ / FISH IN THE WATER

 

Linopiirros kalasta pitää vedostaa niin, että vain kalan pää on veden yläpuolella. Silloin renkaat kalan ympärillä näyttävät olevan veden pinnassa. Lisäsin tähän kokeiluun koristepaperilla pieniä linokaloja ja sudenkorennon. Kokeilin myös niin, että hiukan enemmän kalan päätä on veden yläpuolella - ei toimi.

The linocut of the fish must be printed so that only the head of the fish is above the water. Then the rings around the fish appear to be on the surface of the water. I added small lino fish and a dragonfly to this experiment with decorative paper. I also tried so that a little more of the fish's head is above the water - doesn't work.

LISÄÄ LINOJA KORISTEPAPERILLA / MORE LINOCUTS ON DECORATIVE PAPER

 

Kesämökin lattia täyttyy linopiirroksista koristepaperilla. Kun tähän hommaan alkaa, ei oikein voi lopettaa. Pitää kokeilla vielä, miltä se ja se lino näyttää sillä ja sillä paperilla. Kaikki nämä linot koristepaperilla ovat saman kokokoisia. 16 x 16 cm. Aion kehystää niitä 20 x 20 -kokoisiin kehyksiin, joita voi pitää sekä seinällä että pöydällä - kunhan löydän sellaisia kehyksiä.

The floor at the summer cottage is full of linocuts on decorative paper. When you start this business, you just can´t stop. You have to try still, how does that lino look like on that paper. All these linocuts are the sdame size, 16 x 16 cm. I´m planning to frame them in 20 x 20 sized frames, which can be kept on the wall or on the table - as long as I find those kind of frames.

LINOJA KORISTEPAPERILLA / LINOCUTS ON DECORATIVE PAPER

Löysin joskus Tallinnasta Zelluloos-kaupasta ostettuja koristepapereita. Osa papereista on ihania nepalilaisia, pehmeitä kuviopapereita. Vedostin niille joukon linopiirroksia. Leikkasin kaikki samankokoisiksi, 16 x 16 cm palasiksi.

I found decorative papers, bought sometimes in Tallinn from a shop called Zelluloos. Some of these papers are lovely Nepalese, soft papers with a pattern. I printed a bunch of linocuts on these papers. I cut all papers the same size, 16 x 16 cm.
