Työväenmuseo Werstaassa kävin katsomassa Dorothea Langen (1895-1965) valokuvanäyttelyn Amerikan suuresta lamasta 1930-luvulla. Kuvat varmaan ovat suurennoksia alkuperäisistä pienistä mustavalkoisista kuvista, mutta ne ovat koskettavia. Pieni tyttö raahaa perässään valtavaa puuvillasäkkiä tai ihmiset ovat ilman päämärää matkallaan jonnekin. Mutta on mukana iloisiakin hetkiä: musiikkia, parturissa tai iso melooni. Koskettava näyttely!

I went to see Dorothea Lange's (1895-1965) photo exhibition about America's Great Depression in the 1930s at the Workers' Museum Werstas. The pictures are probably enlarged from the original small black and white pictures, but they are touching. A little girl is dragging a huge cotton sack behind her, or people are on their way somewhere unknown. But there are also happy moments: music, the barbershop or a big melon. Touching exhibition!
