Runebergin päivänä syödään Runebergin torttu. No, juhlapäivä jo meni mutta torttu jäi. Tässä linopiirroksessa kisa kurkottaa pöydän reunan yli herkullista ja makeaa pullaa. Torttua on hiukan väritetty käsin. Linopiirroksen koko on 15 x 15 cm. Tämä on toisinto aiemmasta Laskiaispulla-linosta. Väritin Sharpiella kissojen silmiä kaivertaessa, jotta näkisin selvemmin ilmeen.

In Finland we eat Runeberg`s tarts at Runeberg´s Day (celebrating our national poet J.L Runeberg). Well, the day already went by but the tart is still here. IN this linocut a cat is reaching over the border of a table towards this delicious and sweet bun. The tart was a bit hand coloured. The size of the linocut is 15 x 15 cm. This is a repeat for an earlier linocut of a bun. I coloured cat´s eyes with Sharpie while carving in order to see better the expressions.
