KUMU - Aimala's cultural transformer substation has opened again by my cycle route near our summer cottage. There are now in this small old transformer substation an exhibition of photographs of recent excavations in Aimala, Lempäälä. Several excavations has been made over the years of Iron Age settlements here. The tiny stone weight of a shopkeeper looks nice, but it must have been sad to mislay it. Near a resting place near the transformer substation had been appeared a small beautiful wooden sculpture. This might be connected to the searching and excavations of the medieval graveyard and wooden church, which was burned. perhaps this sculpture is the person who burned the church or perhaps a monk.
