Kadriorgin palatsi ja taidemuseo ovat
ihan KUMU-taidemuseon vieressä Tallinnassa ja poikkeamisen arvoinen
paikka. Nyt Kadriorgissa oli yläkerran näyttelynä LOVE eli
rakkausaiheista taidetta 1500-luvulta 1900-luvun alkuun. Karl Otto
Gerhard von Kügelgenin (1806-1883) vesivärissä Taiteilija ja hänen
perheensä Vinni-kartanolla oli hyperihannoitu tunnelma täydellisestä
perheestä kulkemassa käsi kädessä vihreää puistokäytävää
onneen. Hiukan toisenlainen aihe oli Lucas Cranach Vanhemman (noin
1472-1553) maalauksessa Lootin tyttäret: viettelyä, paheita,
sukurutsaa. Kadriorgin alemmassa kerroksessa oli kokoelma venäläistä
taidetta, harvemmin nähtyjä helmiä. Sergei Vinogradovin
(1869-1938) Esikaupunkinäkymässä oli aurinkoinen,
impressionistinen väritys ja maalaustapa näkyi. Abram Arhipovin
(1862-1930) Tyttö punaisessa hehkui auringonpaistetta ja tyttö
katsoi itsevarmana hiukan alaviistoon. Kadriorgin upeita
keramiikkauuneja voi ihailla aina.

Kadriorg Palace and Art Museum are
right next to KUMU Art Museum in Tallinn and it's a place worth
stopping by. Now there was LOVE exhibition upstairs, love-motivated
art from 1500's to the beginning of 1900's. Karl Otto Gerhard von
Kügelgen's (1806-1883) watercolour Artist and His Family at Vinni
Manor had a hyper-idealized atmosphere of a perfect family walking
hand by hand along a path in a green park towards the happiness. A
bit different subject was in Lucas Cranach the Elder's (ca 1472-1553)
painting of Lot and His Daughters: seduction, vices, and incest. On
the lower floor of Kadriorg Palace was a collection of Russian
paintings, rarely seen gems. Sergei Vinogradov's (1869-1938) View of
a Suburb had a sunny, Impressionistic colouring and the markings of
the artist's brush were visible. Abram Arhipov's (1862-1930) Girl in
Red was glowing sunshine and the girl was looking self-confidently
sideways. You can always admire the fabulous ceramic fireplaces of
Kadriorg.
