Jasmine ja Cocoa ovat kissojen nimet, eivätkä nämä näytä miltään söpöiltä otuksilta. Siamilaiset kissat katsovat hiukan ärsyyntyneinä sinimustilla silmillään. Hännät muodostavat x-kuvion. Tummien korvien, kuonojen ja häntien vastakohtana on pehmeä kermanvärinen turkki. Mutta mikä on kuvan alareunassa kiemurteleva punaraitainen kohta, tyynyn kanttausko? Kuva on alkujaan Martin Lemanin (s. 1934) pieni öljyväri kovalevylle.

Olen vuosien aikana kerännyt aikamoisen määrän kissakortteja. Museoiden kaupat ovat oikeita aarreaittoja kissakorttien kerääjälle. Useat korteistani ovat taidekortteja.

********The cats are called Jasmine and Cocoa, and these are no cute creatures. Siamese cats are looking at you with their black and blue eyes somewhat displeased. The tail are forming the figure x. As a contrast to dark ears, snouts and tails the cats have soft cream coloured fur. But what is a red striped figure at the bottom of the picture, an edging of a pillow perhaps? The original picture is a small oli painting on board by Martin Leman (b. 1934).

I have collected quite a large number of cat cards over decades. Museum shops are treasure-troves for a cat card collector. Several of my cat cads are art cards.
