Quint Buchholzin (s. 1957) maalauksessa "Kissa meren rannalla" / "Katze am Meer" on hieno seestynyt tunnelma. Musta kissa istuu valppaana mutta tyynenä kahden kirjan päällä ehkä betoniaidalla meren rannalla. Vieressä valoa heijastaa puolityhjä olutlasi ja korkealla taivaalla lentää lokki. Meren tyyni pinta vie kaukaisuuteen. Maalaus on tehty pointillismia muistuttavalla tekniikalla. Pienet pisteet muodostavat hiukan karhean pinnan, kuin kiveä tai betonia.

Quint Buchholz's (b. 1957) painting "Cat by the Sea" / "Katze am Meer" has a beautiful, serene atmosphere. A black cat sits alert but calm on two books, perhaps on a concrete fence by the sea. A half-empty beer glass reflects the light next to it and a seagull flies high in the sky. The calm surface of the sea takes you into the distance. The painting is made in a technique reminiscent of pointillism. The small dots form a slightly rough surface, like stone or concrete.
