SOUL OF A NATION - NÄYTTELY / EXHIBITION

Lontoon Tate modernin näyttely Soul of a Nation, Art in the Age of Black Power käsittelee hienosti Amerikan mustien taidetta parilta vuosikymmeneltä alkaen vuodesta 1963. Töissä kuvastuu mustien oman identiteetin  etsintä, vallankumouksellisuus, kapina, tavoite kaikille yhteisestä ihannemaailmasta, pettymys ja huumorikin. Naisten osuus on vahva, ennakkoluuloja ja perinteitä murskataan.

Tate Modern, London has an exhibition Soul of a Nation, Art in the Age of Black Power , which represents finely American black art during two decades from the yer 1968. The reach for black's own identity, revolutionary ideas, uprising, the goal for an idealized and united world for all, disillusionment, even humour is reflected in the art works. The role of women is strong, superstitions and traditions are smashed.
