Olen vuosien aikana kerännyt aikamoisen määrän kissakortteja. Museoiden kaupat ovat oikeita aarreaittoja kissakorttien kerääjälle. Useat korteistani ovat taidekortteja.

A girl is holding a kitten like a treasure. Warm light seems to be glowing from the cat to the girl´s face, which a brim of a hat shades. The eyes of the girl twinkle in the light from under. You could almost swear, that this painting is by Sir Joshua Reynolds (1723-1792), but the work was done by Francesko Bartolozzi (1728-1815), though openly "after Reynolds". The painting is from 1787. Nowadays this kind of copying of the subject and the style is condemned, but earlier imitations of the masters was more like studying and demonstrating your own mastery.
I have collected quite a large number of cat cards over decades. Museum shops are treasure-troves for a cat card collector. Several of my cat cads are art cards.
