Kissakorttien kokoelmasta 15. / Cat Card Collection 15.

Vanhat käytetyt postikortit ovat hurmaavia. Joku on lähettänyt kortin jollekulle ihan oikeasti ja halunnut sanoa jotakin kortilla. Tämä kortti on postimerkin mukaan lähetty vuonna 1918  Englannissa ja siinä täti toivottaa hyvää kesää ja syntymäpäivää Miss E. Kennettille Birchington on Seassa Kentissä. Ensimmäinen Maailmansota on juuri päättynyt, Venäjällä on vallankumous meneillään ja Suomessa kansalaissota.  Kissa ei ole suostunut valokuvaan ihan vapaaehtoisesti.

Olen vuosien aikana kerännyt aikamoisen määrän kissakortteja. Museoiden kaupat ovat oikeita aarreaittoja kissakorttien kerääjälle. Useat korteistani ovat taidekortteja.

Old used postcards are fascinating. Someone has really sent the card to someone and wanted to say something with a card. This card was sent in England in 1918 according the stamp and with this card the aunt is wishing a goof birthday and summer to Miss E Kennett in Birchington on Sea in Kent. The First World War has just ended, in Russia there is the Revolution going on  and in Finland the Civil War. The cat has not agreed to be photographed voluntarily.

I have collected quite a large number of cat cards over decades. Museum shops are treasure-troves for a cat card collector. Several of my cat cads are art cards.
