Tämä kissakortti on hankittu Royal Academy of Arts-museosta Lontoossa. Taiteilija on F. Ernest Jackson (1873-1945) ja kissa on tässä ihan ajaton. Kuvan nimi on Study of a Cat: Dorsal View ja se on tehty kynällä, sepialla, ja indian ink-musteella kartongille. RAA on hyödyntänyt kuvaa moneen eri käyttöön. Minulla on kaakeli/pannunalunen, mutta voisin vannoa että löytyy myös pyyhe, esiliina, pöytäliina ja mitä vielä...

Olen vuosien aikana kerännyt aikamoisen määrän kissakortteja. Museoiden kaupat ovat oikeita aarreaittoja kissakorttien kerääjälle. Useat korteistani ovat taidekortteja.

This cat card was purchased in the Royal Academy of Arts Museum shop in London. The artist is F. Ernest Jackson (1873-1945) and this cat is quite ageless. The name of the picture is Study of a Cat: Dorsal View and it was made with pencil, sepia and Indian ink on card. RAA has exploited this picture in many ways. I have a tile/trivet, but I can imagine there are also towels, aprons, table cloth and what not...

I have collected quite a large number of cat cards over decades. Museum shops are treasure-troves for a cat card collector. Several of my cat cads are art cards.
