Lino & pastelli Kissojen yö on edennyt hiukan. Kissat ovat tulleet tanssimaan taivaalle. Tällä kerralla päätin vedostaa linopiirrokset kissoista ennen pastellitaivaan lisäämistä, jotta kissojen alle ei tule mitään väriä. Tämä tietenkin aiheuttaa aika paljon lisätyötä. Jokaisen kissan ympärille pitää ennen pastellitaivaan lisäystä tehdä reunat sinisellä pastellilla. Ja eikös näissä kissoissa olekin koloja, kulmia ja koukeroita! Yleensä teen ensin koko pastellitaivaan ja vedostan linoja värillisen taivaan päälle tai linoja varten jätettyihin tyhjiin paikkoihin. Nyt en uskonut osuvani kohdilleen jos jättäisin kissoille tyhjät paikat, reunat ovat niin koukeroiset.

Lino & pastel Night of the Cats has proceeded a little. The cats have come dancing in the sky. This time I decided to print the linocuts of cats before adding a pastel sky, in order to get a clean paper without any colour under the cats. Of course this makes a lot of extra work. Before adding the pastel sky I have to paint around every cat the borders with blue pastel. And these cats really have a lot of cavities, corners and twirls! Usually I make the whole pastel sky and print linocuts on top of coloured sky or empty holes left for the linos. Now I believed I could not hit the right places if I would leave empty places for cats, the borders are so squiggly.
