Kisssakortti: 97 / Cat Card: 97

Minulla on useita englantilaisen Angela Hardingin kissakortteja. Tämän nimi on Cat Amongst the Tulips / Kissa tulppaanien keskellä. Alkuperäinen teos on linoleikkauksen ja silkkipainon yhdistelmä. Hardingin töissä on usein tällaisia väribloggeja, hennon vihertävää, kellertävää ja punertavaa. Käsityön leimaa antaa se, etteivät värikohdat ihan tarkalleen täsmää linoleikkauksen rajoihin. Oikean yläkulman oksa lintuineen on hieno. Kissan turkki on kuvattu taitavasti, mutta kissalla on hiukan nyrpeä ilme - tai unelias.

Olen vuosien aikana kerännyt aikamoisen määrän kissakortteja. Museoiden kaupat ovat oikeita aarreaittoja kissakorttien kerääjälle. Useat korteistani ovat taidekortteja.

I have several English Angela Harding´s cat cards. This is called Cat Amongst the Tulips. The original art work is a combination of linocut and silkscreen. In Harding´s prints there are often colour blogs like these, pale green, yellow and red. The colour blogs do not fit precisely the borders of the linocut, but it only shows the marks of handwork. The branch with some birds on the right hand corner is fine. The fur of the cat is finely described, but the cat has a bit morose look - or drowsy.

I have collected quite a large number of cat cards over decades. Museum shops are treasure-troves for a cat card collector. Several of my cat cads are art cards.
